A full sun front yard becomes a lush, playful palatte with multi-season interest in this “unconventional cottage” design. 

Alongside classic mid-Atlantic favorites, we layered in a mix of straight species selections and choiceful, low-growing “nativars” to develop a balanced mix of that accomodates some more traditional ornamental preferences.

Shrubs screen the front porch, a mid-layer mix of aggressive forbs and ornamentals fill out the space, and a lower growing mix of groundcover flanks the front. Aged steel edging outlines the space.
